New Low price - was £979 - now £799

Compare the price and quality of this 2006 G&L ASAT Classic at £979, to the best selling regular Fender AM Tele Standard which currently cost about £1000 - When you have checked out how the G&L performs, feels and sounds, then you may well conclude that on this particular shoot out, there can only be one winner - G&L Guitars are often seen as one of the best kept secrets in the guitar trade - Is it a Fender guitar ? - Well in many ways it is, as G&L stands for George Fullerton and Leo Fender, both of whom had a major influence within the original Fender company - So it was no great surprise when Leo Fender founded the G&L company in sunny California, that the legendary Tele became the chasis for which many G&L ASAT guitars are based upon - The G&L company is a very small workshop that offers many custom shop options on its guitars, coupled with excellent build quality, a high level of attention to detail, along with fine tuned designs, all of which add to the guitars overall playing performance

This G&L ASAT Classic is actually used, yet a thorough tour of the sunburst finish will reveal very little to support this fact as It is exceptionally clean, with just the merest hint of a graze or two on the top surface of the lacquer - The date on the butt end of the maple neck indicates a 2006 date of birth - Although the satin finished maple neck retains most of the qualities found with regard to the feel of a vintage neck profile, not to thin or fat, the maple fingerboard is fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets - This allows for both a far better playing action as well as effortless string bending without any 'choking', which gives an improved playing performance over a regular vintage based model - This is in many ways the strength of a G&L Guitar - They are not trying to re-invent the wheel, more just a case of smoothing out the edges, hence you now get an improved bridge assembly, with 6 separate brass saddles, which allows for a more accurate adjustment and set up with regard to the height and intonation of each individual string - The pick-ups are G&L's own spec, but as you'd expect they possess all the classic vibe that you'd find on a good Tele - Plenty of full bodied twang from the bridge pick-up, with good depth, lots of bite and snarl with smooth musical highs - The neck pick-up is lush, rounded and warm with those jangly qualities - The beauty of a good Tele, when used with a good amp/pedal set-up is that it can operate in so many different enviroments, so from that point of view you'll find with this ASAT, that the more you put into it, the more you'll get out of it - Our price includes the deluxe G&L case
