A hand picked PRS Experience 2011 Custom 24 Limited Edition arrives into stock at Guitars4You - Whilst 2011 was one of the few occassions that I did not attend the PRS Experience, I was fully up to date with what was going on and as soon the giant PRS showroom opened, my PRS contact hand picked this example for me, as per my request for the faded abalone finish - The Experience Custom 24 Limited Edition is specially appointed to celebrate the 5th annual Experience event - Such are the upgrades, features and appointments that it is as close to a Private Stock model you'll see, without having to spend in excess of £7000

First comment must go to the new faded abalone finish - It looks cool, classy and snazzy, but I only wish the pics would do it full justice - In the flesh it looks even more enticing and seductive - Second comment goes to the tone, switching options - The new 5 way Strat style switching, delivers 3 humbucking voices, plus 2 excllent funky single coil flavoured voices - So whilst you can get the soft, vintage neck pick-up tone, or the scorching lead pick-up tone, the Custom 24's versatlity ensures that 2 single coil Strat-esq flavoured tones are available, making this a very versatile tonal package - As you'd expect with any PRS Guitar, the attention to detail is impeccable with regard to every issue, all of which helps to deliver a guitar which feels extremely comfortable - The playability is about as fluid as it gets and ensures that a PRS Guitar still offers the perfect playing experience - For years many players have requested a PRS Custom 24 with an ebony fingerboard, so here it is, at last - The ebony board feels slick and helps to deliver clear articulation with regard to the overall tone, as well as a crisp instant attack and response, which is why so many players love an ebony board, especially for those intricate licks and party tricks - The PRS tremelo feels smooth and positive and inconjunction with the locking tuners and top nut ensures trouble free tuning - So much so that you have to dive bomb fairly aggressively to get it to go out of tune - The solid brass trem block and saddles further enhance the tone and sustain as well as supplying you with rich crystal clear harmonics - As a rare and beautiful instrument it is well worth the Experience Limited Edition tag, as an awe inspiring musical instrument, it doesn't get much better than this
