Special Clearance deal on our new but ex-display model - was £3099 - Now £2399 - We will have to restrict any/many part exchanges on this PRS 53/10 at this new low price

I have recently acquired a new and impressive collection of Limited Edition and Modern Eagle models from the PRS UK importers - All guitars are new, set-up and complete with a full warranty - Please note that all guitars are hand picked - Furthermore, as these guitars no longer feature in the 2012 PRS price list, we have managed to secure some very attractive prices on these highly desirable models

So now let's move on and look at further details regarding this exquisite PRS 53/10 Limited Edition - Released as a limited run of only 100 pieces world wide - Finished in a cool natural satin finish that shows of every curve and contour to perfection - An ultra thin nitro finish, as previously used on Private Stock models and a few other select Limited Edition models, sits proudly on the hand selected Private Stock graded quilted maple top - This thin finish allows the guitar woods to 'breathe' which adds to the natural resonance that is immediately noticeable when you get round to playing it for the first time - However at this stage I need to let you know about a very tiny blemish on the rear of the neck, only to the surface of the finish, it is slight, but nevertheless it is there and does not show on the pics - As a result we have managed to apply a further discount to this 53/10 so it is no longer £3499, so how about £3099

To quote from the PRS web site :-
Spec'd and designed by Paul himself, the 53/10 pick-ups are the 3rd installment in the vintage inspired series of PRS pick-ups and sound as warm as their singed appearance suggests - Paul worked with the sales team to create a limited run of only 100 guitars, to debut these pick-ups - Every aspect of this model, including the thin nitro finish and excellent hand picked tone woods, was chosen to enhance the natural sound of these extraordinary pick-ups - Select South American mahogany is chosen for the body and the neck, whilst rosewood is chosen for the fingerboard, headstock facia and truss rod cover - Note the whole guitars sits at only 7lbs and 10 oz on our scales - Pink heart abalone is chosen for the old school style bird inlays as well as the PRS Signature logo on the rosewood headstock facia - Hardware includes a set of low mass 14:1 ratio locking machine heads with Faux bone tuning buttons - The milled light weight aluminium wrapover bridge/tailpiece sits on a pair of chunky brass studs, to optimise both the tone and sustain - Then finally note the 'scorched' pick-ups covers on the 53/10 pick-up

Playability
The neck is tagged as having the wide/fat profile, but to me it feels a gnats whisker slimmer than other PRS Guitars with a wide/fat profile - It still retains a comfortable amount of meat on it, but slimmer shoulders - Like all PRS necks, it is a pleasure to play with a fluid playing action along all 22 frets - Set-up with a set of 10's, it still feels slinky, yet firm

The Tone Zone
In many ways, the 53/10 guitar is inspired by the designs found on both the McCarty and Modern Eagle models, so as you'd probably suspect, with the new 53/10 pick-ups sitting at the heart of the tone department, this guitar is full of all the tonal qualities, soul and passion that can only inspire your playing - To say the 53/10 pick-ups are sweat warm and oh so musical, coupled with incredible articulation is a massive under statement - The texture of each note is so rounded, so much so that you certainly will not want to be in a hurry to get to the next note - The neck pick-up handles the clean work of jazz and chilled out blues like a duck to water, but add some overdrive and let it rock and it is a pleasure to play, with an open tone that lets you hit that magical sweet spot with controllable sustain, so easily - The tone of a nice vintage 335 is certainly audible from the 53/10 neck pick-up - The bridge pick-up almost has the vibe of the fattest sounding vintage Tele/Nocaster pick-up that you've ever heard, whilst retaining the warmth and power of a humbucking pick-up , hence a nice full bodied bite, that is loaded with depth and shimmering clear, yet smooth warm highs - It won't bite your head but it will still cut through - Used on clean chords or licks, crunch overdriven riffs, or scorching lead solos the 53/10 pick-up is awesome

At £3099, the 53/10 is a stunning looker with the performance qualities that inspire - Yes the deluxe 'textured/floral/Laura Ashley' case is included within the price
