Many of our customers already know we don not sell new Gibson Guitars, yet we love to have a discerning selection of used models and on that basis we are glad to welcome into stock a used 2010 Gibson BB King Lucille - Maybe I can't say it is 100% as new showroom condition, but it is very close to that - Knowing how a shiny black gloss finish tends to show up every minor imperfection as well as every fleck of dust, then for us to say it is around 98% perfect is a compliment - Complete with the Gibson black case, with the signed BB King logo and of course the Gibson Custom Shop certificate

The idiosyncratic nature of any signature guitars ensures distinctive looks and features are part of the package - So whilst the Lucille is based upon the classic ES355 model it is tweaked to BB King's requirements - That fat smouldering tone is legendary and on that basis it is hard to know what else I can add to desribe the tone - Most of us have heard on a number of occassions - I played it for a few minutes and rightly or wrongly I tend to stroke the strings and as such I could not get the tone to be 'fat' enough - However set-up with a new set of 10's and a more firm picking stroke helped to give me the attack that produced something like the BB King tone - Will all players use the varitone switching, I don't know - It does work and it produces a wide variation of tones, but only you can decide what is good for you and in some ways this sums up the Lucille model as you either like it or don't - If you like the soft side of rock, jazz, blues and fusion it is a mighty fine guitar - It is set-up with a sensible fluid action and as such is very comfortable to play - Playing it through our shop demo amp and trying to play a few classic blues tracks you know it is loaded with emotion soul and passion and as such you can make it cry, sing or weep - Yet I know it won't appeal to all players/customers

Every guitar in stock at Guitars4You has been personally selected, inspected and approved by me, with particular attention paid to the set-up and playing performance - Every sale, phone call, mail order transaction or e-mail is handled my me - Mark Hopkin, the owner, Managing Director, cleaner and coffee maker (Jo, my wife helps with the coffee) - A 35 year journey has fuelled my knowledge, experience, love, devotion and passion for exceptionally fine guitars - This reflects in every aspect of our business

I have no desire to run an Amazon style 'click to buy' guitar shop, that lacks any soul or passion, or indeed to fill a showroom with a selection of dirty, shop soiled or dusty guitars that are in need of a set-up
