The first obvious change is the three D-Tron humbuckers, so with a 3 way selector switch plus the usual master volume and tone pot, what are the tonal options that are available on the custom TV - For now, let's ignore the middle pick-up and as such the 3 way switch delivers the usual neck, neck+ bridge and bridge pick-up options - The master volume pot is pretty obvious, so that just leaves the tone pot and this is where it gets interesting - The tone pot has a notch built into it at the 1/2 way point of 5 - Therefore between 0 and 5 this control is a tone pot, with maximum tone achieved with the pot at 5, ie the centre notch - As you turn this pot further, it no longer has any influence as a tone pot, it now becomes the volume pot for the middle pick-up - As such as you turn it from 5 through to 10 it blends the middle pick-up in with which ever pick-up is selected via the 3 way switch - To put it simply, the middle pick-up can be blended in as and when required, but is never available on its own - More flexible than the established format chosen by Gibson - The neck or bridge humbucker on its own will provide you with a fat, full and clear humbucker tone, but as you dial in the middle neck up, you start to acquire that 'out of phase' tone that you'd find on position 2 and 4 of a Strat - ie slightly thinner with some quack about it

After that the Duensenberg Custom TV is pretty identical to its best selling cousin, the Starplayer TV - Please note that the Guitars4You price of £1589 includes the deluxe Duesenberg case - Officially it is an optional extra at £165 but we include it within the price
